Greece and Rome introduced blown glass and clay pots. Medieval Europe preferred precious metals like silver. The Renaissance perfected glassmaking techniques. These containers carried the values of lasting beauty. Your rituals deserve better than disposable bottles.

Wabi-sabi is probably the most coherent philosophy and body of work that can guide us. The rise of wabi-sabi aesthetics is rooted in the Kamakura period (1185–1333), influenced by Zen Buddhism and its emphasis on simplicity, imperfection, and natural beauty. The rustic, irregular pottery produced by the Six Old Kilns became central to Japanese daily ceremonies, from tea to bathing. These objects serve as constant reminders of the natural cycle of growth and decay, encouraging us to appreciate things that are aged, asymmetric, rough, weathered, or flawed as symbols of life’s transient and imperfect nature.
